Volunteers Needed for Read, Write, & Rappel Over The Edge for DYSLEXIA Community-Wide Event!

Dependable, enthusiastic volunteers are critical to the success of this unique event. You can commit to a couple of hours or to the whole day. We need help with:

Hospitality: Keeping our hospitality tent stocked with healthy snacks and beverages for all of our sponsors and volunteers throughout the day.

Logistics: Ensuring the many different grounds activities have what they need, are accessible to everyone or remain safely roped off where applicable.

Ground Events: Overseeing the ground party and activities to create a family-friendly atmosphere for the folks who come out to watch and support Edgers.

EVENT VOLUNTEERS: 10-12 volunteers NEEDED, May 11, 2019 on-site at any given time to assist with event day management and flow. This is a great way to be part of a great event! No experience = No worries – we will train them on-site.

We can do one shift, or two shifts for volunteers. Here is a video of the various different event volunteer roles. *Please note positions may vary from what is discussed on the video.

Volunteer can sign up at www.overtheedgeglobal.com.

OR consider becoming a ROPES VOLUNTEER

ROPE VOLUNTEERS: 10-12 volunteers NEEDED, May 11, 2019 to assist the rope technicians at the event. Rope volunteers will undergo a three-hour training before the event, and will be offered an opportunity to rappel, if time and weather permits. Here is a video describing rope volunteers and what they do.

Who Can Volunteer?:

Previous experience with rope safety systems (ropes course facilitation, rock climbing instruction, high angle rescue, industrial rope access, etc.) is preferred but NOT required.

This is an all day volunteer shift. Anyone interested in being a ropes volunteer can sign up at www.overtheedgeglobal.com.

Points to Note:

OTE covers all volunteers under their $10 million general liability policy. The site is OSHA compliant and SPRAT guidelines are followed.
